Open Day   29 May 2021

England’s three-times Commonwealth Gold medallist Ellen Falkner MBE made a special visit to Caldecott Park Bowling Club on 29 May in support of our Open Day and to promote the "Bowls Big Weekend 2021".

Our Open Day was timed to coincide with the Bowls England campaign which involved over 690 participating clubs.

As the only club in Warwickshire visited by Ellen, we were honoured and delighted to meet her.

Ellen spent time talking with Club members and visitors, being photographed and also giving an introductory bowls session to a visiting beginner.

The Open Day was a wonderful opportunity to promote the sport locally and show the many improvements we have made to the Club since 2020.  

Judging by the many visitors, the laughter and the sunny weather, the day was a success - made even better by signing several new members.
