I haven't played bowls before. Can I try before deciding whether to join ?
Yes.   You are welcome to come and try playing bowls FOR FREE.
You don't need to own any bowls. We have a selection that you can use to see which suit you best.
However, you must wear flat-soled shoes - no heels and no deep tread.
Someone from the Club will show you what to do and can answer questions about how to bowl and about the Club.
When is the bowling green open ?
Between April and September, the green is open for roll-ups on Tuesdays and Fridays 2-4pm.
Membership Day will be on Saturday 13 April 2024.
AÂ rink is always kept free for public use during our afternoon roll-ups.
The green is also used for Club matches at various other days during afternoons and evenings
(please see our Fixtures page).
How much is it to play a game?
For non-members the green fee is £4.00 per person.
This includes the hire of a set of bowls if you need some.
Refreshments are also available.
How much does it cost to join the Club ?
The membership subscription for 2024 is £55 per person.
The roll-up fee for members is £1 - inclusive of tea/coffee refreshments.
Membership offers you the opportunity to play in our Club competitions
and to play in home and away matches against other clubs.
